About SaySolmelu.org

Solmelu is how Tuluvas greet one another. This site is our way of saying it to the world.

SaySolmelu.org brings together the history, faith, festivals, language and everyday life of Tulunadu, the Tulu-speaking coast of Karnataka and Kerala. It is written for Tuluvas reconnecting with their heritage, wherever they live, and for anyone meeting Tulunadu for the first time.

Every page draws on published scholarship, oral tradition and the knowledge of the community. Sources are listed at the bottom of each page, and where accounts differ, we say so.

Privacy

This site counts visits so we can see which pages people read and where they come from. It uses privacy-friendly analytics from Cloudflare, which does not use cookies and does not follow people from site to site. What you send through the contribute form goes into a private list that only the editor of this site reads, and your name and email are never published.
